Free admissions on Thurdays only - regularly $5 per person. Outdoor Art Scottsdale is proud of the outdoor sculpture, fountains, and gardens at Civic Center Mall. It's not a shopping mall, but rather a shady public walk or promenade. Scottsdale Mall's brick sidewalks link the City Hall, Civic Center Library, One Civic Center, and Scottsdale Center for the Arts.

The Scottsdale Historical Society runs the Scottsdale Historical Museum at 7333 Scottsdale Mall (100 yards east of the intersection of Brown and Main Streets in Old Town Scottsdale). The museum is housed in the original Scottsdale Grammar School which was built in 1909. It features a variety of permanent and traveling exhibits focusing on the history of Scottsdale and the Salt River Valley. The museum's hours vary by season. For information, call 480-945-4499.
